Ratnapuri Institute of Technology- College of Polytechnic”(RIT-COP) is a co-educational institution affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education and Training(SBTET), Hyderabad. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi. The college is sponsored by “VENNELA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY” promoted by Sri K.Madhu, as President and Prof Colonel Dr V R R Datla, as Secretary and Correspondent. Sri K.Madhu was the Vice Chairman of M/s. NCL BUILDTEK LTD, an NCL group company having the turnover for 1000 crores. Prof Colonel Dr V R R Datla has worked as a Commissioned Officer for over 20 years in the Armed Forces in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Indian Army. After obtaining voluntary retirement in 1998, he has been helping managements in establishing Engineering Colleges, maintaining high academic standards in colleges such as Vasavi College of Engineering, Padmasri Dr.B.V.Raju Institute of Technology, Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology, Aurora’s College of Engineering & Research, MLR Institute of Technology, in and around Hyderabad for the past 25 years.
