Course outcomes: Upon the completion of the course, the student shall be able to

Check suitability of Ordinary Portland cement for a particular work as per standards

Pre requisites: Basics of chain surveying, compass surveying and levelling

 

Course outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to

Use and operate Theodolite in the field

Apply the knowledge of Theodolite in different operations of civil engineering

Apply the knowledge of principles and purpose of tacheometry in finding out the

Pre requisites: Knowledge of basic CAD and advanced CAD ( CAD 2D & 3D) and knowledge of Building drawing and Building services.

Apply the concept of layers to show various building services

Create 2D drawings for various building services  using CAD

Develop 3D drawings and models for civil engineering drawings using CAD

 

Pre requisites: This course requires the Basic Computer Skills and Practice concepts of engineering drawing

Course outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to

Importance and advantages of CAD. Set drawing area and draw geometric shapes and modify as per requirement

Add text with required font and size and also dimension by various methods

Generate isometric model and draw circle on three iso planes

Create 2D drawings with front, side view with all above features

Pre requisites: Basic knowledge of Theodolite surveying, Tacheometric surveying, working principles of Electronic Theodolite, EDM, Total station and GPS.

Use total station in the field of Civil engineering land survey.

Pre requisites: Basic knowledge on tools required for carpentry, bar bending, plastering, plumbing electrical exercises

Course outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to

Ability to explain about positioning of shuttering and fixing of form work in the field

Prepare the bar bending schedule for different conditions

Ability to explain plastering, distempering and plumbing process

Identify various electrical accessories, earthing method and wiring connections

Pre requisites: This course requires the knowledge of Construction Materials , Strength of materials, Reinforced Cement Concrete and Soil mechanics

Course outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to

Use standard equipment like UTM, Hardness testing machine etc for conducting different tests and determine different properties of metals

Check the suitability of aggregates and soils for use in different works as per standards

Test for workability of fresh concrete for use in a particular RCC work as per standards

Prepare Concrete cubes and cylinders as per standards to determine the compressive strength and tensile strength of concrete

Pre requisites: This course requires the basic knowledge of Trigonometry and basics of map study

Plot  the traverse and Calculate the areas of  the given irregular boundary by  different methods of chain surveying

Apply principles and practices of  Compass Surveying to perform  Traversing in the field

Perform and plot  the closed traversing using  compass and adjust for errors by using Bowditch rule

Pre requisites: Knowledge of English comprehension , Basic Computer operation and IO devices
